CompaCare® Family Advocate Manual

There is only one solution to the foster care crisis: the Church of Jesus Christ. When the local church provides two family advocates and fifteen volunteers to support foster families, research has shown that we're able to increase placement stability significantly.

This manual introduces the role of family advocates in the CompaCare program. It describes the crisis in foster care, explains advocate job descriptions and responsibilities, and offers practical tools and resources. Plus, it shares insight on providing pastoral care to foster families.
